Paybridge hires sales expertise to meet growing demand on integrated DC/Payroll Services: ING joins platform

August 16, 2010

(Strongsville, Ohio) – Paybridge, a national provider of integrated payroll services, announced it has hired Debbie S. Pagni as Sales Director. Her role will be to market and sell Payroll, HR and Retirement Integration services through Paybridge’s TPA and Plan Wholesaler channels.
Debbie brings a strong background in business development and sales for various technology based platforms. She will be based in Paybridge’s national Headquarters in Strongsville, Ohio and cover all 50 states.

PayBridge currently has 14 regional TPA partners, with plans for 20 by the end of the year.
This is in addition to sales support provided by the thirty three- wholesalers as part of Mutual of Omaha’s retirement platform joint marketing venture.

In August, 2010 Paybridge entered into agreement to provide payroll services to ING as well.

The integrated solution will allow TPA's and advisors to provide their clients with a sophisticated, customizable, enterprise-smart solution that integrates payroll with accounting, human resources and retirement.

“This integrated 401(k) and payroll option will allow our TPA and advisor partners to help their clients grow and protect their businesses through a comprehensive suite of payroll-based products,” said Tony Chiviles, president of Paybridge. “ Our strategy is to become the “go-to” DC/Payroll integrator for TPA’s and DC plan providers. We welcome ING onto our platform and look forward to further expansion into all markets”.

Paybridge’s innovative Census Vault enables TPA's and advisors to have on-demand, electronic access to payroll census data. This data is critical to show that retirement plans are designed and operate compliantly with IRS and Department of Labor rules. Without timely access to payroll census data, plan compliance testing can be delayed and the plan’s tax-favored status may be impacted.

Brokers Beware, Legacy Payroll Providers Are Offering Health Insurance

June 15, 2010

As the national payroll companies expand their footprint, their pursuit for new revenue sources reaches other industries. The newest source seems to be health insurance. With the formation of Paychex Insurance Agency, it seems that the payroll giant is sending a clear message. We are in the health care business. Recently many of our clients have received invitations by Paychex and other payroll providers to attend seminars geared toward health insurance. If they are already a client of Paychex they have been constantly bombarded with information promoting their health insurance services.

This is a serious threat to Health Insurance Brokers. You can visit Paychexs web site to see what they are doing.

These incursions into other lines of business are not going to go away. Brokers need to come up with a game plan on how to protect their client base.

Paybridge can help.
